Why are these days essential?
The Haitian diaspora in Canada continues to grow and contribute to the social, economic and cultural development of Quebec. However, the challenges persist: recognition of diplomas, professional integration, transmission of memory and language, support for Haiti in a difficult context. JIDHs offer a unique space to transform these challenges into collective opportunities.
A call for unity
With more than 150,000 people of Haitian origin living in Quebec, Montreal becomes the capital of Haitian pride for a weekend. The organization invites the entire diaspora, whether first, second or third generation, to respond.
“Together we are stronger. The diaspora is a living force. It is time to come together to build a resilient, prosperous and forward-looking community. »
JIDH organizing committee.
